Volunteer Opportunities

Christians On the Net is a Christian Community. As such, there is a need for mission work that can be done through the internet under the umbrella of Christians On the Net. Following are some of the needs our local and international community has:

Prayer Partners

We need intercessors to pray for the requests that are submitted through our prayer ministry and posted on our prayer request page. People wanting to have a short bio with an e-mail address need to fill out our volunteer form so we may add you to our prayer partner page. Only your first name will be posted, unless you request otherwise.

Chat Room Monitors

Christians On the Net presently hosts one chat room called #liberty on undernet. This is not a permanent room until we can have ten people willing to "sign" for it, and willing to help monitor it. Ideally, these people would be spread out geographically over the world so that someone could come into this room and find a person there any time of day.

Fund Raising

Christians On the Net would like to purchase another computer to dedicate to chat (the computer would only serve the purpose of hosting chat groups). This purchase would also require more software and programming to install and maintain it. People who have fundraising experience or the ability to locate donations in kind are needed to bring this vision into reality.

Web Page Designers

Do you have a gift for designing beautiful and functional HTML? There are many churches who cannot afford to pay the rates professionals charge for these services and there is not anyone in their congregation who can help them out. Christians On the Net has a dream of hosting all 1,200 churches in Central Florida on our website. This will not be possible for some of them unless volunteers step forward to design the pages and train someone in each church to maintain their page afterwards.

Researchers

What is missing from our website that would make it the number one Christian community on the internet? We need feedback and someone to help take this feedback and design new programs and features from the information you collect. Research can be both local in Central Florida and world wide through the internet itself. Anyone with good research and organization skills that would like to help our site grow would be appreciated.

Teachers

We need people who know how to use the internet to do seminars for free for local churches. We need to show them how the internet will help them expand their outreach ministries and bring them closer to their true mission to take the Gospel to the whole world. Classes can range from beginning level to advanced classes covering HTML design for churches in Central Florida. Church schools could also benefit from this ministry of teaching.

Do you have a special gift or talent you want to share? Is there a special calling that you have not found an outlet for yet? Do you want to be a missionary but can't leave home for some reason? Search your heart for God's will and take an inventory of your gifts. If you do not see any volunteer opportunity above that fits you, what would you like to do? We will be grateful for any assistance you can give us.
