Powerful Prayer Part II

Of IV

If you missed the first part, Introduction you may wish to read it first.

This section will cover a theory of laws I believe to be true concerning why things happen. In so doing, it may possibly answer why things don't happen as well. Such as "Why one prayer is answered, and another is not." Or "Why do I need to understand the Laws in order to better succeed in my life?" and the last, "how can my being loving and caring to my miserable spouse possibly make my life more joyful and abundant?" Well, lets see.

Remember too, that my purpose is not to provide all the answers, I certainly am not capable of that. But if I can help you to ask questions, to broaden your vision of God's possibilities, or your own, then perhaps I have accomplished all I was ever meant to do.

IN THE BEGINNING

In the beginning God created all things. He spoke the Word and it was so. As I ponder all the scriptures, and ancient writings I have chosen to view, I am left with the belief that everything spoken to obeyed. That the atoms, once a part of the void sprang into chaotic action becoming organized creation.

This speaking of the Word was the first commandments given as far as we can tell. It was the beginning of rule, obedience, structure, and laws. The Spirit moved across the waters, gives lead to the idea that it was the Holy Spirit of God which saw to it that all that was commanded was accomplished. It is the Holy Spirit that still maintains this command and sees that all is in obedience to the original laws under which they were created. The Holy Spirit is the omnipresent outpouring and creative action of God. It fills even the space between the proton and the neutron of our smallest atoms, and is the next breath and heartbeat of our own bodies.

Now the exact definition of the name Holy Spirit is of course my Christian explanation of things. Whatever you choose to call "The Force" of God, will not stop it from being so. Even evil anti God humans have proven that they too can obey the laws and achieve success, to a degree.

I explain the command of creation because it is very important. If we are to understand why things do or do not happen, we must attempt to explore the reasons or possibilities behind the successes and failures.

Once a possible reason has been determined then we test the theory under various circumstances to see if it has proven itself valid, either in the past or present by doing tests. There are myths and half-truths that seem to be accepted as truth only because no attempt has been made to challenge the theories given. Sometimes sadly enough, out of fear. When it comes to God and our as humans asking questions, there should be no fear. Why is it we say that to learn a student MUST ask questions, but a good Christian NEVER questions God ? Where are we to get the answers about God? All the questions are not in the Bible, and most of today's words are not either. If we are to ask another human, where did he get the answers? Did he break the rules and ask God? I personally think that God should be the one to answer your personal questions about Him, or His Will, or His Actions, not a Human like me or anyone else. After-all, is it not YOUR personal relationship with God?

When I was young, I would ask the various Pastors questions about certain things. A common set of answers they all seemed to have learned from the same teacher was given. "Only God knows why those things happen." "It is not for us to question the reasoning or Will of God." "You must never allow yourself to think that we as humans could possibly understand the reasons these things happen." Never, I repeat, , , NEVER tell me that we are capable of asking questions that CANNOT be answered in some way. We are told otherwise, in Luke 11: 9-12 whatever you ask for you will receive. We are also told to ask God for wisdom and even how we are to ask in James 1:5-8 which says it all.

We did not know a whole lot about things back in the fifties, , , or the sixties either , , , , now that I think about it, the seventies, Oh well, anyway, science was still young, and today's technology a few years off.

Well, hurricanes still happen, but today we do have a much better explanation as to why they happen, and where they come from. Lightning still occurs, especially here in Florida, but we no longer consider it to be the anger of God reaching out, (most of us don't anyway)or omens of things to come, but have found it to be a naturally occurring event that takes place ONCE CERTAIN CONDITIONS ARE MET.

These two examples, and there are many more available, show that laws are in effect. These laws require that conditions be met before they are complete. To the degree that these conditions are met is the exact degree to which the outcome will be complete. A potential Hurricane may not become anything more than a tropical storm if enough conditions are not met.

In the times presented to us in our Old Testament Bibles, we see a time where man was completely focussed on the Laws of God. So much so that he had limited himself and the real purpose which God had created man to do and become. So we must be always careful that we do not allow our attempt to understand the laws of anything to over-shroud the event itself.

Because in almost every instance where we have found circumstances that are always met, or laws obeyed, we still see the strange occurrence where they were not, but an event still happens. This I refer to as the unknown variables, or the influence of God's Will in an event. This could also happen if a new ingredient that has the ability to replace one or more known requirements so effectively as to allow the event requiring them to take place with the new instead of the old ingredients. (WOW) My point here is that there is no possibility for us to be sure that we have covered every possible way in which an event can occur, so we must not allow law alone to be our reasoning.

Now in our New Testament Bible, we see changes taking place. Mankind has been chastised for attempting to focus only on the laws and having no room for Mercy, Grace, or miracles. So we moved as Christians into a different world where the laws were not seen as the center of our world. We learned more about Love, and Forgiveness. We Forgave offenders and prayed for them in spite of the current laws man had established. An eye for an eye (Math 5:38) was replaced with pray for those who spitefully use you or persecute you.(Math. 5:44 Luke 6:28-31)

These new reflections of the laws may well be the revealing of just how important laws really are in everything we do. Meaning, that if I hold anger and resentment towards another, and do not act on it I harm myself. Medical science now supports the theory that negative thoughts cause chemical changes inside the body which can harm or even kill us. Therefore, if I can forgive, through whatever means I can, then I am actually helping myself, not just the other person.

Now when Jesus was here He was accused of breaking the law of the Sabbath, (Math.:12:1 and many more) when He ate, and healed on the Sabbath. Now from the viewpoint of the Pharisees He had indeed. But from the understanding and viewpoint of Jesus, He answered to a higher law and was not guilty. Jesus told us that He did not come to remove the law, but in a way, added details of clarity to it. Not only should you not do something, but you should not even think it. Please read Silent Prayers that kill( coming soon )Jesus was speaking (I believe ) of such higher laws.

STORY

We know that on this planet we have a force called gravity. Science has discovered the requirements for gravity to exist, and can determine how powerful the effects of gravity will be on other planets before they even visit them in person. Such requirements as mass, density, and the effects of other heavenly bodies in close proximity, such as our own moon.

Now gravity exists everywhere on the planet and seems to follow all the scientific rules, well almost. Remember the unknown variable I mentioned earlier? Well I know of at least one spot where gravity does not follow the norm. There is a hill in Lake Whales Florida, called Spook Hill, that is popular to many because gravity causes everything at the bottom of the hill to roll to the top, instead of the reverse. I have checked this out myself, and it is not an illusion, but I do not understand why either. Anyway, in most cases then, gravity effects us all the same in all places. If you jump from an object, you will fall. Not float, but fall. Daytime, night time, makes no difference. This law of gravity enforces itself. It does not require a special order from God each time someone or something falls to make it happen, it is a self fulfilling law.

Now if we look at this, we can see that there is no way to break this law. I hear you say "Wrong, we can fly in planes now." Yes we can fly in planes. But we never break the law of gravity. We call upon another law, a higher law, that permits us to overcome the law of gravity. We call upon the law of aerodynamics.

Now we are flying, but did we break the law of gravity? Lets see. We are at an altitude of 20,000 feet, any height will do, but I just happened to choose 20,000 feet. While flying ( excuse me a second, ugh, there!) you will now notice that our right wing is coming off. A few seconds later and now it is gone. Of course we are still flying, we have only changed our direction from straight ahead in a horizontal movement to straight down in a vertical movement, well more down than forward anyway. The spinning around has nothing to do with our example, just overlook it for now. In a moment or two we will stop flying, and prove that we were only fulfilling the law of gravity.

It appears that the law was not broken by us after all, but silently waiting for it's opportunity to come into effect again according to the requirements we were able to fulfill. If we had only run out of fuel, we would still come down, but perhaps in a more controlled decent and have landed safely. Mainly because we could have fulfilled more of the requirements of the law of aerodynamics, specifically, WINGS. But to prove to you that gravity was still in effect I chose to loose the entire wing so chances are good that we are not here anymore but have returned to the earth from which we came, just a lot sooner than we might have wished.

If we call upon a higher law, we are under it's influence for so long as we obey it's requirements. However, should we fail to fulfill all the requirements of the higher law, we again become subject to the lower law, in this case gravity. No law was ever broken, only disobeyed or overridden by a higher one. Even the higher law includes the lower law. I mean that aerodynamics takes the forces of gravity into account in order to assure adequate wingspan, air speed, and other high-flying requirements are met to carry the WEIGHT of the craft.

All of Gods laws are still in tact and in full force today. You cannot break any of Gods laws or commandments, only ignore them. However, to the degree that one law is ignored, another law is obeyed and sooner or later it's consequences will become apparent to you, even if you choose to say you are just flying straight down instead of falling, the final impact is always the same.

This perception of laws may be new to you, and it may be uncomfortable accepting the possibilities, but it may well hold the key to understanding many of the questions we have all asked in the past. No matter how well we understand the laws though, whether they be the laws of Nature, laws of the Universe, or Laws of God, we must always allow room for the unexplainable. Room for newly discovered laws. And of course, room for Divine Intervention and or miracles, which will also have laws controlling them.

In the following steps we will make use of the idea that there are laws and I will discuss why I believe each step is magnified by whatever methods I suggest along with that step. Understand that the steps themselves are important, my explanations as to why are of less importance. Feel free to ignore my ideas if you wish. The steps will still work. I include ideas because you may get more thoughts triggered by them that may allow you to improve on the steps or help you to answer questions you have asked in the past.       THE STEPS To Pray With Power
